Known as the “Center of the Universe,” Fremont is replete with commuting options, from extensive bike paths to public transit. For those who prefer to drive, Highway 99 is a 2-minute drive away, both the Fremont Drawbridge and Ballard Bridge are merely 5 minutes away, and Interstate-5 is a short 7-minute drive from home. Major employers in Interbay, South Lake Union, and Downtown Seattle are just 7-10 minutes away, but you don’t even have to leave your neighborhood if you work at Abode, Tableau, Getty Images, etc. Transit is easy to take advantage of, too; for example the #44 bus is only a couple blocks away, which runs from Ballard through Fremont to University District. The #5 bus is also just a few blocks away; this line runs straight into Downtown Seattle for an easy car-free commute.

Fremont's central position makes it a convenient launching point for exploring the many facets of Seattle. Downtown Seattle is merely a short drive or bus ride away, offering access to employment opportunities, entertainment, and cultural attractions.
My only issue with Fremont is that some of the neighborhood streets have been dominated with townhouses. As a result, those streets can be very congested with zero street parking options. Now, for those in the know, there are also many streets filled with turn-of-the-century charmers with plenty of room to breath.
